Everybody has a story to tell.

Uproot is here to tell those stories.

From those using their time to help children,

to those going through gender transition,

to the Power Rangers and Billy West,

Portraits tell the stories of life.

Doctor Mohamed Elnour, a physician, was born in the Sudan. He was educated in Cairo, Egypt. He spent time in the United Kingdom. And for thirty years, Elnour has called the United States his home. As an American Muslim, he's seen many changes in how members of his faith have been treated, but he believes things right now are temporary. Elnour trusts that the American system of freedom of religion will prevail in the end.
